Mortuary and Crematory

About Us

Peaceful Paws Mortuary & Crematory is a full service pet mortuary offering funeral and cremation services for your pet companion. Whether they be furry, feathery or scaly, Peaceful Paws Mortuary & Crematory will treat your pet the same way you do, as a member of the family!

Although new to the pet death care industry, owners Robbie Powers and Jonathan Proctor have a combined 38 years of experience in the death care industry as funeral directors. Serving Kershaw, Richland, Lee and surrounding counties, we plan to bring that same experience used to care for countless families to your beloved pet. Do you want to have a funeral, post an obituary, have a video tribute, or would you prefer to simply have your pet respectfully cremated and returned to you? Either way we are here to help guide you through the pet loss process.

What to do if your pet has passed?

We serve veterinarian offices all around the Columbia Metro Area. Here are some steps you can take to have your pet cremated or buried after it has passed.

My pet has passed away at my home:

If your pet has passed away at home, you can call us at 803-677-1476. We also offer at-home burial.  Please contact us for more information.

My pet has passed away at a vet office:

If your vet is partnered with us, they have forms on-site for you. After that, they will handle it. If your vet is not partnered with us, you can call us for a pickup from the office. Once your pet arrives at our facility, we require that you fill out a cremation authorization form so we may proceed with your pet’s cremation.

Request A Pickup

If you need your pet transported to our facility, then please give us a call to make arrangements. We will arrive with a van designed to carry your pet and take it to our facility.
