LUGOFF- CT Nabholz passed away on July 24, 2022. CT was born in Pontiac, S.C. and became pate of the Nabholz family on March 14, 2012.
CT, also known as “Sausage,” enjoyed eating human food, hiking, car rides, snuggling, walking around the pond, mole hunting, and visiting Goodale State Park and Scott Park. She hated walks that were too long and car rides to places other than home or the park. Her favorite food was literally any human food and her favorite places to sleep was in the sun from Pierce’s bedroom window, under the bed, or under the office desk.
Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Krystal and Steve Nabholz; human siblings, Rose and Pierce; dog siblings, Wrinkles, Chester, Gemini, Dredd, Doggy-doo; and cat siblings, Scar, Alex, Willy, Ember and Cricket.
Below are some of the Nabholz families favorite memories:
- Stephen: As far as I know, CT was either a stray or abandoned as a puppy. I first met her when I was sitting on the bumper of my work truck eating a cheeseburger. She walked out of the woods very timidly, but would not approach any closer than ~20ft. My boss told me that if she came up into the truck on her own accord I could take her home. I tried to pick her up but she ran back in the woods, so I tore the burger up into small pieces and made a trail from the woods to the truck like E.T. with M&Ms. I walked down the street and after a few minutes she came out of the woods and followed the trail right into the back of the truck. I closed the bed behind her before she knew what was going on and that made it official. I had to get another burger because she ate nearly the entire thing.
- Krystal: CT had to stay with Stephen’s parents for a couple of weeks. We went down to visit and did not intend to bring her back that day, but she stowed away in behind the back seat of our truck when everyone was packing up to go home. We didn’t realize she was in the truck until we were halfway back home and she made some noise.
- Rose: The time she caught a mole from the yard while some friends were visiting. They were freaked out that CT pulled the mole out of the ground, threw it through the air, and started eating it in front of them.
- Pierce: We had just watched a scary movie and she fell asleep beside me. She stayed with me in my room all night and woke me up the next morning by licking my feet. She used to sleep under my bed a lot.
