Cane Cook

CAMDEN- Cane (Candy Cane Cook) passed away August 20, 2023. He was born September 17, 2010 to his pet parents Wind River’s Jack Daniels (dad) and Little Rascals Orphan Annie (mom) in Rembert, SC. He was adopted by his human momma, Amanda, on December 18, 2010.

Cane, also known as “Cook,” “Bubba,” or “Cookie D,” loved walking with his human momma, being with her outside, and supervising her as she cut the grass. He eagerly anticipated, and enjoyed, playing catch with his human sister, “T,” laying beside her, and protecting her, as she chilled in her swing and sang. Mischievously, he would sneak away to swim in the pond/creek, returning dirty and happy! He loved to be dirty, but not cold! In the cooler months, Cane would warm himself, in his people-house crate, with the comforts of his soft, orthopedic mattress and bedding. 

Cane’s favorite food was table scraps, despite popular opinion, and because he lived near a golf course, his favorite things were golf balls, of any color.

Some of his mom’s favorite memories include him chewing up her first pair of clogs, defiantly digging holes in the backyard to stay cool in the summer, and protecting his “babies” (cats). Comically, he would “eat” the bubbles his human sister, T, would blow, and get excited when “T” would pop poppers for Independence Day. His human momma remembers him getting excited for walks, doggie paddling in the lake, and being the best “guard dog.”

Left to cherish his memory is his human momma, Amanda; human sister, October; and feline siblings, Cray-Cray (aka Chase), Skittles, and Camo; and fur nieces and nephews, Shy, Lily, Klimber, Tiger, & Skull.

He is predeceased by his cat brothers , Garnet & Leo (step), cat sisters, Charley & Dora (step); and cat niece and nephew, Amber-Sophia, and Noodle, respectively.
