SUMTER- Sophie passed away September 12, 2023. She was born September 11, 2017. Her family adopted her from Columbia, SC.
Sophie, also known as “Sopher Bean,” “Bean,” or “Beaner Bean,” loved to play with anything her brother Ace was playing with. She didn’t play with toys so she would guard them so he couldn’t play either. Ace is a 98 pound Cane Corso and he was scared of her!
She also enjoyed getting treats, licking unsuspecting people right in the mouth, chasing her brother if he got too loud or ran in the house (or even remotely tried to have fun).
Sophie used to love sleeping in the blanket basket, in the crook of her daddy’s arm, or on his pillow. When Sophie wasn’t sleeping, you could usually find her trying to snack on ANYTHING! She didn’t care that she was on a special diet…she would vacuum up anything.
Some of her family’s favorite memories of her include her loud as a man snore, the way she snorted like a pig just breathing, telling her “hello little girl!” when I got home from work, watching her short little legs run. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Sophie loved her Momma but she was every bit a Daddy’s girl.
Left to cherish her memory is her Mom and Dad, Donald and Stacie Byford; and fur-brother, Ace.

Sophie was the bestest girl ever. She would always make everyone smile and snuck kisses (inside the mouth of course). We love you pretty girl! Run free ♥️
To my sweet grandpuppy, Sophie.
I will always remember your little pink tongue, your beautiful curly hair, your tippy toenails and your very TINY bladder. Your happy greetings always left pee puddles of love.
You will be missed. 🐾🌈🐾

Rest in peace precious girl! You were a happy piece of your mama and daddy’s world. Hope that tongue is still hanging out. Tell my babies how much I miss them.

We were so sad to hear about your precious Sophie. I know you miss her terribly and so glad you have another pet in your home. ❤️🙏
What an adorable looking furchild. So sorry as they truly are family. May the Lord give the family peace in days ahead in such a difficult time of grief.
