Ginger was gotcha’d on June 27, 2013 from Dekalb Animal Shelter in Atlanta, GA. She passed away on December 27, 2023.
Ginger, also known as “Ging,” or “Gingy,” loved rolling in the grass then sun bathing, walks in the woods and on the beach, receiving belly rubs, and giving kisses to everyone. Ginger’s favorite foods were bacon and cheese and she loved to sleep in Mom and Dad’s bed beside Mom’s feet under the covers. She also loved to play with ropes and antlers.
Their favorite memories of Ginger were snuggling with Mom, playing dress up with Ella, running & playing in the yard with Brock, Belly rubs from Dad, exploring after every move with the Army from Atlanta, GA to Elgin, SC to Cumberland, MD to Virginia Beach, VA back to Elgin, SC.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Michael and Danielle; siblings, Brock Gilliam and Ella Moore; and fur-siblings, Salem and Frankie.

Ginger was the sweetest! I wanted to visit her in South Carolina and see her run around her new backyard but I will treasure the last times I was with her in Virginia Beach. Ginger’s body may have worn out, but she lives on in our memories and our love for her is forever. Love ya, Ginge!
Ginger was part of our family and loved her very much. She was the sweetest girl and loved being in the kitchen when Granny was cooking cause she knew I would give her a bit of what I was cooking ❤️
