Buddy was rescued in April of 2020 from Raleigh, NC. He passed away January 14, 2024.
Buddy, also known as “Angel Tail,” “Bobby Dale,” “Buddy Roo,” or “Bub Bub” loved were barking and running up and down the fence chasing the UPS truck, howling with every siren he heard from miles away, terrifying every person that came to our home until they sat down and let him get in their lap and get to know them. Buddy absolutely loved riding on the golf cart for hours, barking non-stop at anyone that came near his yard, tons of snuggling, playing with his fur brothers Bailey and Conner, and getting the zoomies. He also liked to chase his tail on occasion. Buddy’s favorite toy was a small kong moose that he got the day we adopted him and tennis balls. He would play fetch most days with almost any toy or ball until he was so tired he would stop running and would walk to bring the ball or toy back.
His favorite place to sleep was in between Mommy and Daddy, snuggled up under covers, turning sideways so he could touch Mommy and Daddy while he slept every night. Buddy’s favorite food was Chicken or any human food he could get his paws on. He was very good at catching food & treats in his mouth.
Buddy’s daily routine was to sit on the back of the recliner, watching for Mommy and Daddy to come home. He would bark and wiggle his backside until we picked him up, carried him around, for lots and lots of love. That was their absolute favorite memory of him.
Buddy’s favorite human family members were his Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Ann, brothers Cody & Hayden, Sister Courtney, and grand girls, Emmy & Sadie. Buddy LOVED his fur siblings Bailey & Conner. He had so much fun playing with and getting zoomies with them. On cold days, he would snuggle up with his fur brother Bailey on the couch or in front of the fireplace.

This has been a hard week for me and I’m sure there will be many more to come. I have never bonded with an animal as I did with you. You were very special to me. The first day I met you, you did not like me at all. The second day we became the best of friends, the bond started. You brought much joy to my life everyday. I will miss our play time, giving you belly rubs, playing tug-of-war with you and fetch, and many other daily adventures we had. I am thankful that I got to be home with you everyday, all day the last few weeks of your life. Things are different around the house without you there and your little brother Bailey is pretty sad. But I know he will be alright because you raised him up strong and we see you in him everyday. Until we meet again on the other side of the rainbow bridge, I will miss you. Have fun up there little Buddy, I love you.
So sorry for you loss. He was such a cutie!
I’m deeply sorry for the loss of Buddy.

I’m so sorry for the loss of Buddy. My heart goes out to you.
Dear buddy, even though we weren’t the bestest of friends, I really will miss you. It isn’t going to be the same at the house without you doing all of your barking at nothing, chasing the ball at 100mph and sliding around on the floor because of your nails, and the love you would give me when we weren’t mad at each other.
