Aspasia was born in July, 2004 in a dog house on the side of road in a small town in Pa. Animal control was coming to take all of the cats/kittens. The owner of a butcher shop across the street could get close enough to her to catch her. We met him, caught her, put her in a carrier and drove a half hour home with her acting like a Tasmanian devil the whole way. She passed away February 13, 2024.
Aspasia, also known as “Fatsy Cline,” loved doing anything her mommy was doing, and playing with shoe laces that were attached to any of her humans feet. Her favorite place to sleep was anywhere mommy was. Aspasia’s favorite food was Land O’ Lakes American cheese, but it had to be the yellow kind.
There will never be another cat like Aspasia. She borrowed lives to stay here with her humans as long as she could. She battled hyperthyroidism for years, pancreatitis almost took her in 2017. As a senior cat she had surgery to remove abscessed teeth in 2020. In September of 2022 she fractured rear left leg and had to have it amputated to survive. She made a full recovery. Partially blind, partially deaf, only 3 legs, and 19 years old, she found every shoelace.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Ranee and John; and siblings, Fiona, Breanna, Gavin, Inessa, Aislinn, Bron, Kallias, Thaddeus, and Penelope.
