COLUMBIA- Persephone Sessler passed away on June 20, 2024. Persephone was adopted by the Sessler family in August of 2016.
Persephone, also known as “Percy,” enjoyed hanging out with her siblings, sitting on shoulders, and sleeping in her bed or in the palm of her mom’s hand. She did not really have any favorite toys, but loved snuggles, and her favorite food was her Critter love smoothie. Percy would always wake her mom up whenever everyone would escape from the cage.
Left to cherish her memory is her mom, Shelby Sessler; and siblings, Marilin, Merry, Pippin and Muffin. She was predeceased by siblings, Lily and Piper.

One night while sleeping with the windows open (it was one of those rare SC nights), I felt something crawling on me. I jumped straight up thinking a night creature was attacking. It turned out to be Percy. She was looking for Shelby to alert her that the gang was on the loose! She was very protective of the colony and a good girl to let her momma know what was going on. Sweetest sugar baby…and she is missed.

I used to Babysit Percy and her Siblings when Shelby was out of town, she was so cute and cuddly. She would sit on my shoulder and was definitely the sweetest and calmest of all her siblings!❤️ Rest in peace sweet Girl.
