COLUMBIA- Scooter Hagins passed away on July 26, 2024. He was born in Columbia, S.C. and became part of the Hagins family on February 9th, 2006.
Scooter got his name as a puppy because he would run around the house as fast as he could when he would get exited. He was also known as “Scoot,” “Scootie,” or “Scooterpoo.” Scooter’s favorite toys were his squeaky green frog and tennis balls. He loved cuddling with his family and playing fetch.
Scooter enjoyed sleeping in his bed or cuddling with his family, and during Christmas time, would lay under the Christmas tree and nap there in his Christmas Sweater. His favorite food was Beggin’Strips, peanut butter and bones. Lee and Cameron would play fetch with him by throwing a tennis ball onto the roof of the house and he would try and figure out where it would roll down the roof to catch it. When Joscelyn was little and Scooter was a puppy, she would dress him up in doll clothes and carry him around everywhere. When he would go on car rides, he always wanted to sit in someone’s lap and be held while he put his head out of the window.
Scooter would always take his treats (Beggin’ Strips or Milk bones) all around the house looking for the best place to hide them and would come back for them later. He would bury them in between couch cushions, drawers that were open, blankets anywhere he could find that he felt it would be safest. His family found milk bones for a long time after he stopped eating them.
Left to cherish his memory is his parents, Jennifer & Lee Hagins; siblings, Joscelyn & Cameron; and fur-sibling, Callie. He was predeceased by a fur-sibling, Sam.
