Minnie Elizabeth McCorkle

Minnie was born on June 28, 2007 in Columbia, SC. She passed away on August 31, 2024.

Minnie, also known as “Minnie Mouse” and “Skip,” loved to lay on anything soft. When she wasn’t inside doing that you could find her outside enjoying the sunshine while she would sun bathe. It was one of her most favorite things to do. When she was younger she also enjoyed what her family calls the “Claw Game,” where she would chase around her Aunts. 

Her favorite place to sleep when she was a puppy was always on her Mommy’s shoulders. She would curl up and love on her. As she got older, she liked sleeping in anyone’s bed under the covers. She didn’t have a particular favorite food. She wasn’t very picky but she loved any kind of table food anyone was willing to share.

Their favorite memories of her was when Minnie was a graduation gift for her “Grandma” but was drawn to her Mommy, Ashley instead. From the day they met it was love. Minnie loved spending time on her Mommy’s shoulder like a parrot or snuggling under the covers during bedtime. She enjoyed being spoiled by her Grandma Sharon and Aunts, Aleasha & Asiah. She loved taking road trips. When Minnie was 4 she got her first little (fur) brother Oreo. At age 11 we welcomed her Dad Jay and at age 13 we welcomed her little (human)brother Maestro. 

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Ashley and Jay McCorkle; siblings, Maestro (human brother) & Oreo (dog brother).
