Moon Beam Blackman

Moon Beam was gotcha’d in February 2011. He was a shelter dog, a friend adopted moon and was working a lot of hours so she asked his soon to be forever family if they would foster him. He came to stay with them in November/December of 2012. He had found his forever home and has been with them ever since. He passed away on November 21, 2024.

Moon Beam, also known as “MooMoo” and “Beamer,” loved just about every tennis ball and stuffed animal out there. Even a Kong, he would destroy in a matter of minutes. Towards the last week of his life he was very fond of a glow ball that would lite up inside with colored lights. His favorite activities were laying in the sun, sitting by the firepit enjoying the evening fire with his family and of course car rides.

His favorite place to sleep was on the couch, or on Pongo’s dog bed in the living room. He also loved his dog bed in the bedroom. He loved all food but was mainly fed Kibbles & Bits.

His family has so many favorite memories of him. They had heard horror stories about pit bulls, but since the first moment his momma saw him he melted her heart. He was so sweet and lovable to all humans and other animals. They will definitely miss him and his corn chip smell from his skin allergies. They hope he finds all his buddies that he grew up with over the years. They know they are all waiting to welcome and play with him over that rainbow bridge. Until they meet again, they will always love and miss their Moo Moo.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, John and Kim Blackman; siblings, Ruth and John Louis; fur-siblings, Pongo, Obe & Raven. His fur buddies would happen to always be by his side and would sit or lay on him to keep him warm. They will cherish the memories forever.
