Chewie was hatched on August 20, 2021 in Tacoma, Washington and and joined his forever family on January 8, 2022. He passed away on February 16, 2025.
Chewie, also known as “Chewsome” and “Tweak,” loved playing with his bells. His favorite activities were hanging out on his dad Brandon’s shoulders and playing with toys. His favorite place to sleep was in his cage. His favorite food was grapes.
Their favorite memories of him were when they drove from WA to SC, Chewie rode on his dad Brandon’s shoulder, the times he danced to Fireball from Pitbull, all the times he would squawk at birds flying by, and when he would interact with Emily.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Brandon, Jaime, Emily, and Madi Bennett; siblings, Nika, Gabby, Baxter, Murphy, Badger and Zoey.

I cannot believe you’re really gone. I keep hoping to wake up from this nightmare and hear your voice. Your passing has torn a home in my heart. You were my best friend and gave me so much joy and laughter. I will cherish the memories you gave me. Not a day will pass where I will not think about you. I can still feel you on my shoulder and hear your sweet sounds. I love and miss you more than you’ll ever know. Rest in peace my sweet little boy. Forever your best buddy!!

I still cannot believe you are really gone. You made such a huge impact on my life in your short time with us, bringing us joy and laughter with your silly antics. I keep on praying I will wake up from this nightmare with the sound of your voice. I know you are in a much better place looking down on us but that doesn’t make it any easier. You were/are my best friend and I will never forget you. I will cherish every memory I have of you. Your passing has ripped a hole in my heart that will never fully recover. You were sent to me when I needed you most. You helped me through hard times and made the good times even better. I love you and pray that God reunites us again when the time is right.
