Gunner Mobley

Gunner was born January 5, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed away on February 14, 2025.

Gunner, also known as “Guns” or “Gunsy,” loved being an escape artist. He often would send his parents into a frenzy trying to find him in the neighborhood beating them back to the front porch like nothing ever happened. 

His favorite activity was relaxing on the couch and hunting on his own.

His favorite place to sleep was always the loveseat. He claimed the living room love seat as his own, forcing his dad to have to share the couch with mom.

His favorite food was brisket trimmings and anything he could convince his human brothers to give him!

Their favorite memories of him were: When I was on deployment when the family had moved to San Antonio. While he was out for a walk with mom and his human brother Jordan and fur sibling Mattis, Gunner spotted a doe! Jordan had his leash as he pulled Jordan head first towards a tree, Mom yelled for Jordan to let go! Gunner took off, leash still attached chasing this doe two miles through the suburbs. As his mom crossed the street in her pajamas and the man asked if that was her dog, his mom explained no that was her deer! Not long after a man come walking towards his mom bringing Gunner back. Gunner was his happy self acting as if nothing had happened! Gunner was the heart and soul of our family, his human brothers adored him and his fur siblings followed his lead.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Zack and Amy Mobley; siblings, Human Brothers Gavin and Jordan; Fur Siblings, Liberty, Mattis and Renegade.
