Eugene was adopted in March, 2024, from a rehab center in Marietta, Ohio. He passed away on March 25, 2025.
Eugene, also known as “Bluegene,” and “Eugeney” loved to lay with his stuffed animal lizard, and his wooden lizard. His favorite activities consisted of climbing in his big, four layered cage, climbing trees, sitting in baths, and eating.
His favorite place to sleep was in his fluffy circle bed, that is really meant for cats, with his blanket.

Every once in a while his mom would let him munch on a piece of turkey as a treat. Some more of his favorites were mac and cheese, peppers, spinach, kale, strawberries, and cheese!
His mom had many great memories with Eugene, but her favorites were when they were driving him back home and he was scared of bridges. Every time they would go under a bridge, he would duck and get scared of it… Another favorite memory she has of him is whenever they would be doing something, he would tilt his head and look at them. He loved climbing his mom’s curtain rod more than anything, or when someone would go into his territory, he would get all mad and whip at them whenever they would try to get in his cage. Another favorite memory his mom had was when she brought a toad inside and washed it off, he was a sweet boy, so he licked at the toad and he tilted his head with curiosity. He loved other animals.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Cassandra and Evan; grandparents, Holly and Jimmy; uncle, Gabe; cat siblings, Gomez, Nacho, Noodles, Ratatouille, Bubbles; and gecko siblings, Honey and Rex.
