Drake, a beloved companion and cherished member of the Hughes family, passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 12.
Born on May 21, 2013, Drake was a spirited and loving dog who brought immeasurable joy, comfort, and laughter to those around him. Known for his deep love of chasing squirrels and his undeniable obsession with Bojangles French fries, Drake had a personality as big as his heart. He especially loved being wrapped up under a warm blanket and could always be found right under your feet—never far from the ones he loved most.
His family can’t single out a favorite memory but they would say today was the best day. He got to eat all his favorite things (bojangles, cheeseburgers burger, and ice cream) and him and his dad hung out most of the day. That’s all he ever would’ve wanted.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Zach and Kristin Hughes; siblings, Brother Brody (dog), brother Fisher (human) and sister Finley (human).
