She came to her forever family through SQ Rescue on July 24, 2011, Jaz Howard—affectionately known as Raz-Ma-JAZ, Big Dog, and Old Black Dog—was a loyal companion, a cherished family member, and a source of joy for everyone blessed to know her.
From the moment she joined Bill and Vicki Howard, Jaz’s life was filled with love, comfort, and togetherness. She shared her days with her siblings Breeze, Jamie, and Brandon, and her heart was always happiest when surrounded by her family.
Jaz’s favorite toy was her beloved Flat Cat, and her favorite activities were the celebrations with Nana & Papi, where she knew there would always be laughter, joy, and—most importantly—treats. Her favorite sleeping spot was simple: anywhere Nana & Papi were. To Jaz, being close to her people was all that mattered.
Her family holds countless beautiful memories of her—too many to mention—but each one is a reminder of her loyalty, her gentle spirit, and the way she made every celebration brighter.
On July 29, 2025, Jaz passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and companionship that will forever live in the hearts of her family.
Rest easy, sweet Raz-Ma-JAZ.
