Paxton Willoughby Bull III

In Loving Memory of Pax Bull
~2012 – August 28, 2025
Forever Our Paxton Willoughby Bull III 🐾❤️

Pax’s story began with hardship. Born sometime around 2012, his earliest years were marked by disappointment. Bought or given to a family as a Christmas gift, Pax was soon left unwanted, caged for over a year, and surrendered to a shelter. He was fearful, broken, and unsure of the world around him.

But fate had other plans. When Henry and Janet began searching for a companion, they were guided to Pax—a quivering, desperate soul who needed exactly the kind of love they had to give. Though Pax avoided human contact at first, preferring the company of his fellow dog, with time, patience, and gentle consistency, he slowly blossomed into the extraordinary boy he was meant to be.

Over the years, Pax revealed himself as a dog of remarkable sensitivity and heart. Almost human-like in his awareness, he became a source of comfort, compassion, and peace to everyone who needed him. True to the meaning of his name, Pax—Latin for “peace”—he lived out that mission every day of his life.

Known affectionately as Paxton Willoughby Bull III, a regal nickname that made him prance with pride, Pax was also lovingly called “Chow Hound” for his endless appetite. He adored “people” food—from chicken and cheese to even the occasional pickle—never turning down a bite. His favorite toy was his stuffed hedgehog, which he would proudly carry around, often trying to “trade” it for treats or playtime. His favorite activity was simply being with his people wherever they were, helping the “pack” in his own quiet way.

At night, Pax found comfort on the beds scattered throughout the house, always choosing the one closest to his mom and dad. His special place was curled up on his cushy pillow on the floor beside Janet, sleeping peacefully with the people he adored.

His impact extended beyond his immediate family. When Janet’s father was suffering from severe Alzheimer’s, Pax became his steady companion—hovering close, offering comfort, and bringing peace. Even in his mother’s darkest moments, Pax’s presence brought smiles and a sense of calm. He was more than a pet; he was a healer.

Pax passed on August 28, 2025, leaving behind his loving parents Henry and Janet, his people siblings Connor and Dakota, and a family who will forever cherish his memory.

Pax’s life was not defined by the cruelty he first endured but by the love he gave and received in abundance. He was, and always will be, remembered as a nurturing soul, a true companion, and a source of peace to all.

Rest peacefully, Paxton Willoughby Bull III.
You fulfilled your purpose with grace and love. You will never be forgotten. 🐾❤️
