In Loving Memory of Izzy “Rabbit Butt” Scarborough
October 2009 – September 16, 2025
Forever My Joy 🐾❤️
Born in Texas in October 2009, and welcomed into her forever home in February 2010, Izzy Scarborough quickly became the heart and soul of her family. She was the cherished companion of Sara Scarborough, and she shared a special bond with Nathan Sisk, Sara’s son, who always gave her love and attention that she happily returned.
Izzy was affectionately nicknamed “Rabbit Butt” for the way she would hop like a rabbit down the stairs and around the backyard—always bringing smiles and laughter with her playful spirit.
Her favorite toy was Lamb Chop (Lammy), which she carried and played with tenderly. She was also a dog of routine, known for her daily walks through the neighborhood. She could be insistent when it was time to go, letting her family know in no uncertain terms that the walk was not to be missed.
Izzy’s favorite places were always by her mom’s side. During the day, she curled up beside Sara while she worked, and at night she slept faithfully next to her bed. She adored her soft chew chicken treats, her absolute favorite snack, though she enjoyed many foods.
One of Sara’s fondest memories will always be how Izzy loved to be held—snuggled like a baby in her lap, showing her trust and pure love. She was sweet, smart, feisty, and loyal, a perfect balance of independence and affection.
On September 16, 2025, Izzy passed away, leaving behind a family whose lives are richer because of the joy she brought. She was more than a pet—she was a constant source of love, companionship, and happiness.
Rest peacefully, sweet Izzy Lou.
It was a privilege to be your mommy. You will always be remembered with love, and your pawprints will remain on our hearts forever. 🐾❤️
