In October 2013, a little ball of fur named Missy was born in Sumter, SC. From the very beginning, she filled the lives of her parents, Madison and Eric Appleby, with warmth and love. She became more than just a cat—she was family, a loyal companion, and a constant source of comfort.
Missy, affectionately called “Missy Lou,” had a gentle spirit with a playful side. She loved any kind of ball, chasing it with grace and speed, especially during her nightly sprints through the house. But her favorite activity was always the same—curling up in her mama’s lap, where she felt safe and deeply loved.
At night, Missy could often be found sleeping at her mama’s feet, close enough to feel connected but with the independence only cats truly embody. Her favorite food was salmon, which she enjoyed with delight.
She grew up surrounded by love, alongside her human sibling Karter, and her presence brought joy and laughter to the whole family. Her parents will never forget the simple yet precious moments of watching her chase her ball at night, or the way she showered them with affection during quiet times together.
On September 12, 2025, Missy passed away, leaving behind a family whose hearts will forever carry her memory. She was small in size but immense in personality and love.
