Born and raised in Pageland, South Carolina, Piper was more than just a pet—she was family, a loyal friend, and a ray of sunshine in every room she entered. From the very start, she filled Katelyn and Storm Wright-Horne’s lives with unconditional love, laughter, and countless sweet moments.

Known affectionately as Pepper-Girl, Pepperoni, and Gammaw, Piper had a personality that shined as bright as her spirit. Her favorite things in life were simple but brought her endless joy—car rides, chasing bugs, playing with her tennis balls, and cuddling up with her mommies at the end of each day.

Her favorite place to be was tucked in bed with her moms, safe, warm, and deeply loved. And if food was involved, steak, Beggin’ Strips, and Bo-Rounds were always top of the list. Piper shared her home and her heart with her siblings Baxter and Nala, forming a pack bound by love and companionship.

Piper never met a stranger—every person she encountered instantly became her friend. She had a gift for comforting those who were sad, often licking away tears and offering her gentle presence until the world felt right again. Her love was pure, her loyalty unwavering, and her joy contagious.

Among the many cherished memories, her moms will always treasure seeing her riding shotgun in the car, confidently manning the driver’s window as if she were leading the way on their adventures. Those moments of togetherness captured exactly who Piper was—the heart of the family, always close, always full of love.

Piper’s time on earth was filled with affection, laughter, and countless cuddles, and though her paws no longer walk beside her family, her spirit will forever live on in their hearts.
