In Loving Memory of Ricky Baker
Born: December 2011 – Passed: October 16, 2025
Forever Our Fella, Our Friend, Our Family ❤️🐾
Ricky’s story began in Augusta, Georgia, around Christmas of 2011, but his true life began on September 25, 2012, the day Jerry Baker saved him from a trip no one should take. From that moment on, Ricky knew he was home—and he never stopped showing his family just how thankful he was for that second chance.
Lovingly called Big Boy, Fella, Ricky Rick, and Ricky Bobby, he had a heart as big as his personality. Ricky’s favorite pastime was simply being with his people—he loved roaming outside, rolling in the grass and sand, and exploring new places as his family traveled. He was happiest by Mom and Dad’s side, whether riding in the backseat on long trips or sleeping peacefully in his bed beside them each night.

Ricky shared his life with many beloved companions—Dodge, Alex, and his travel buddy Murphy, all of whom will surely greet him at the Rainbow Bridge. He leaves behind Tucker and Bama, his loyal friends of seven years who will miss him dearly, along with his three human sisters and two brothers, whose hearts will forever hold a space that only Ricky could fill.
Ricky’s favorite toys were anything purple and Dad’s hat, which he would proudly grab and toss around with joy. He loved broken squeaky toys, especially the ones that barely made a sound. His favorite foods were McDonald’s nuggets, hotdogs from truck stops, boiled chicken thighs, ice cream, and yogurt—he truly loved every meal to the fullest.

His family will forever cherish the memory of the day he came home freshly groomed and, within minutes, had rolled in the sand until his entire face was covered. They’ll always remember how he’d greet Dad at the door, catching and shaking his hat, and the way he’d barrel through the doggie door like he owned the world. And when he’d lay his head in Mom’s lap for a gentle rub between the eyes, he’d melt into sleep—safe, content, and loved.
Ricky Baker was more than a pet; he was a loyal companion, a source of laughter, and a steadfast friend through life’s journey. His presence made every house a home, every car ride an adventure, and every day brighter.

We’ll miss you, Big Boy.
We’ll cry because our time together ended, but we’ll smile because of the love we shared.
Run free, sweet Ricky Rick, until we meet again. 🌈💛🐾

Thank you for every single moment we shared. I am truly happy I found you. I tried to do the best I could for you and never regretted anything. Our life together has been something I wouldn’t wanted to miss out on. You filled my days with laughter, comfort, and love in a way that no one else ever could. When I lost Murphy You had a way of knowing when I needed you most and stepped up to attach yourself to me and my world. I’ll never not remember you. I love Ricky Rick! Dad
