Buddy Wemesfelder, lovingly known as Bubba and Pretty Boy, was a dog who truly chose his family. Born in Delaware, Ohio, Buddy’s story with the Wemesfelder family began the moment Brian arrived to pick out a dog—and Buddy jumped straight into his arms as if to say, “I pick you!” From that day forward, he was exactly where he was meant to be: home.
Buddy was the cherished boy of Teresa and Brian Wesmesfelder, and the loyal brother to Hank. He filled their lives with warmth, joy, and the gentle kind of companionship only the truest dogs can give.
He adored exploring the woods, moving through nature with the confidence of a pup who felt safe, loved, and free. Whether he was trotting along a trail beside his people or stopping to take in the scents of the wild, Buddy was happiest on an adventure.
At home, Buddy found comfort on the patio—his favorite place to rest, watch the world, breathe in the fresh air, and simply be. His beloved stuffed dog was always close by, a quiet reminder of his soft heart and gentle spirit.
When it came to food, Buddy never turned down a hamburger, especially when shared with love. Those simple moments—good food, good company, and the comfort of belonging—were his greatest joys.
Buddy’s life was defined by love, connection, and the unspoken bond he shared with his family. His presence brought peace, laughter, and companionship to every corner of their lives. Though his paws no longer walk beside them, his spirit remains forever part of their hearts.
