Toofers Gragg was born on January 25, 2021, in Columbus, Georgia, and from the very beginning, he proved he was anything but ordinary. Known lovingly as Toofers, The Spike Weasel, and Milkshake, he brought laughter, curiosity, and pure delight to everyone who met him.

Toofers was deeply loved by his human, Will Gragg, and lived alongside his feline siblings Penny and Portia, who were absolutely terrified of him—much to everyone’s amusement. Despite his tiny size, Toofers had a big personality and an even bigger heart.

He adored running on his wheel, munching on superworms, and proudly sitting on Will’s shoulder like a tiny parrot surveying the world. His favorite toys were simple—paper towel and toilet paper cores—but they provided endless entertainment, especially when he stuck his head inside and promptly got himself stuck. His favorite place to rest was tucked away in his cozy Hogloo, where he could feel safe and comfortable.

Food was one of Toofers’ greatest joys. Mealworms and turkey were his favorites, and turkey held a special place in his heart—it was the only thing that would make him anoint, a quirky hedgehog ritual that never failed to bring smiles. Raised closely by humans from a young age, Toofers truly believed he was one of them. He was gentle, rarely balled up, never bit, and was always easy to handle. He had a calm, trusting nature that made him a joy to love.

Toofers was incredibly photogenic and always seemed to know when the camera was on him. His silly antics, gentle temperament, and unmistakable charm made him unforgettable. More than anything, he had a gift for making people smile—whether they knew hedgehogs well or were meeting one for the very first time.

To some, Toofers may have been “just a hedgehog,” but to those who loved him, he was family. He was special, unique, and deeply cherished.
