With heavy hearts, we remember and honor the beautiful life of Rosebud Henderson, a beloved dog whose gentle spirit and joyful heart left paw prints forever on the souls of those who loved her.
Born and cherished in Sumter, South Carolina, Rosebud was the treasured companion of her devoted human parents, Ben and Darlene Henderson. She was also a loving sister to Christina, and a loyal fur-sibling to Scarlett and Molly, sharing her life and home with warmth, patience, and quiet devotion.
Rosebud found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She never met a squeaky toy she didn’t love, delighted in chasing a ball, and felt pure bliss riding along on the golf cart. One of her favorite places was stretched out in the sunshine on the back porch, soaking in the warmth and watching the world go by. When it was time to rest, she could always be found bundled up snugly in a blanket, content and peaceful in any room as long as she was close to her family.
Her love of food—especially spaghetti—was legendary, but some of her most cherished moments were filled with love and purpose. Rosebud proudly went to the bus stop to welcome Christina home from school, tail wagging with excitement. She also adored car rides, especially those that ended at McDonald’s, where she waited hopefully for a French fry or two, believing every trip might be the lucky one.
Rosebud was more than a pet—she was family. She was comfort, companionship, and unconditional love wrapped in fur and sunshine. Though she has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, her memory lives on in every warm blanket, every sunny porch, every squeak of a toy, and every loving heart she touched.
