Tikky Kitty Kohn

Tikky Kitty Kohn—affectionately known as Tickles McKittles—was a tiny soul with a mighty spirit, rescued from a storm drain in the Aldi parking lot off Killian Road in Columbia, South Carolina. From such an unlikely beginning came a life overflowing with love, comfort, and quiet joy.

Tikky quickly made herself at home, claiming hearts just as easily as she claimed shoes and anything attached to a string. She was a devoted squirrel watcher, spending peaceful hours perched just right, eyes locked on the world outside. When it came time to rest, her favorite place was always close—on top of Laurie or nestled into her clothes, where she felt safest and most loved.

Shrimp was her favorite treat, but companionship was her greatest joy. Some of her most cherished moments were spent sitting on the kitchen chair watching birds with her beloved Solo, or relaxing on the cat-climb while Solo hung her signature “gansta-paw” over the top—simple, perfect memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who witnessed them.

Tikky leaves behind her devoted pet parent, Laurie Kohn; her human siblings Taylor, Erin, and Abby; and her furry siblings Nova and Turnip. She is reunited at the Rainbow Bridge with those who went before her, Duke and Solo, where we know she is once again watching birds, strings at the ready, and resting peacefully in love.

Though her time was far too short, Tikky Kitty Kohn’s impact was immeasurable. She was deeply loved, endlessly cherished, and will always be remembered as the brave little kitten who climbed out of the storm and straight into forever.
