In Loving Memory of Cody Delgado
September 15, 2011 – January 25, 2026

Cody Delgado was born on September 15, 2011, in Toano, Virginia, and from the very beginning, he lived life with curiosity, confidence, and a deep devotion to his person, Christi Shakofsky. Cody wasn’t just a dog—he was a constant companion, a travel buddy, and a steady presence through the rhythms of everyday life.

He shared his world with his human sister, Alexandria Delgado, and loved being included in whatever his mom was doing. Whether it was running errands or setting off on an adventure, Cody was happiest when he was right there beside her.

Cody had a fondness for bully sticks, pig ears, and stuffed squeaker toys, and he never turned down a bite of deli meat. When it was time to rest, his favorite spot was curled up comfortably in the recliner, watching over the room like he always did.

One of Cody’s most cherished joys was being on the water. He loved kayaking, proudly standing at the bow like the captain of the Titanic, nipping playfully at fish and floating objects as they passed by. The water was his happy place, and those days spent in and on it will always be treasured memories.

On January 25, 2026, Cody crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving behind a heartbroken family and a lifetime of beautiful memories. His loyalty, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, sweet Cody. May the waters always be calm, the adventures endless, and the love you gave returned to you tenfold. You will always be loved and missed. 🐾💙
