In Loving Memory of Kitty Cook
May 7, 2015 – January 30, 2026
Kitty Cook—known lovingly as Kiggy, Kiggy Man, and Big Boy—was a one-of-a-kind soul who filled his home with warmth, humor, and love. Gotcha’d on May 7, 2015 in Columbia, South Carolina, Kitty quickly claimed his place as an irreplaceable member of the Cook family.
He was deeply loved by his parents, Janet and Shannon Cook, and adored by his human siblings Kaitlyn, Ashlea, and Casen, as well as his many furry companions Coco, Chimmy, Atlas, Luna, Rey, and Jax. Kitty’s presence was steady and comforting, whether he was curled up near his family or quietly observing his kingdom from above.

Kitty was a master of simple joys—sleeping, sunbathing, and turning everyday objects into fun. His favorite toy was a humble bottle cap, which he proudly fetched like a seasoned retriever. He had a special talent for surprising everyone by leaping from tables onto shoulders and perching on top of doors, reminding us all that he lived life on his own terms.
His favorite places to sleep were wherever his people were—on the desk while Mom tried to work or on the pillow between Mom and Dad, right where he belonged. Kitty never turned down human food, and his curiosity and bold spirit made every moment with him memorable.
On January 30, 2026, Kitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving behind a house a little quieter but hearts forever full. His memory lives on in the laughter he brought, the comfort he gave, and the love he shared so freely.
Rest peacefully, sweet Kitty. You will always be our Big Boy. 💙🐱
