Poopsie Brazell was a beloved and unforgettable soul whose journey began as a tiny abandoned kitten found during a storm in Blythewood, South Carolina. Though her beginnings were uncertain, she quickly found her place in a loving family — and in the heart of the person who fell in love with her at first sight, captivated by her precious two-toned nose and gentle spirit.
Affectionately known as “Poopsie” — as a joke Scarlet was her “legal name” — she grew into a confident and charming companion. She shared her life with her older half-brother Mose, along with her later adopted family members Kevin, Vinny, and Cleo, forming bonds that brought warmth and comfort to every day.
Poopsie had the heart of a huntress, proudly carrying her little toy mouse from room to room, meowing as if announcing her grand catch. She loved watching birds from the safety of her screened porch, eagerly lining up for treats, and curling up in her favorite cozy spots — whether tucked inside a cabinet, perched atop her cat tree by the window, or kneading happily on a fleece blanket whenever one appeared.
She was a constant companion through countless life milestones, quietly witnessing the moments that shaped the years she shared with her family. One of her most endearing quirks was meowing loudly whenever she noticed a camera pointed her way, leaving behind treasured photos filled with personality and life.
Though Poopsie has taken a piece of her family’s heart with her, the love and memories she leaves behind will remain forever. In every warm blanket, every bird outside the window, and every quiet moment of comfort, her spirit will continue to live on.
