In Loving Memory of Lily Duncan
April 4, 2010 — March 9, 2026
Lily Duncan, lovingly known as Lily Lou, Lily B, and Lulu, was a devoted and joyful companion who filled her family’s life with love, laughter, and unforgettable adventures. Born in Chester, South Carolina on April 4, 2010, Lily spent nearly sixteen beautiful years by the side of those who loved her most — her parents, Sheila and Charlie Duncan, and her siblings Chad Duncan and Christy “Sissy” Wymer.
Lily had a playful spirit and a heart full of curiosity. She loved her stuffed cow toys and balls, and she never turned down a good game of fetch or a round of “find it.” One of her greatest joys was watching cows wherever she could find them, especially during rides with Momma when all the windows were down and she could look out and spot every “moo cow” along the way.
Her favorite moments were spent with her family — walking trails with Momma and Sissy, curling up beside Daddy in the recliner, or resting peacefully beside Momma’s bed at night. Lily had a special love for duck treats, soft milk bones, and of course anything Daddy happened to be eating.
Lily’s life was full of adventure and treasured memories. Family camping trips took her from the Great Smoky Mountains to James Island, Lake Wateree, and Lake Jocassee, where she loved playing in the water and searching for sticks and rocks along the shore. She enjoyed fishing trips with Momma, Daddy, and Chad, and Christmas was always a magical time when she could stretch out beside the glowing tree and play with all the toys — both hers and the kids’.
But above all, Lily simply loved being with her family. Her loyal heart, gentle companionship, and joyful spirit made every moment together a gift.
Though Lily’s paws may no longer walk beside them, the love she gave will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Every open window, every quiet trail walk, and every cow spotted in a field will be a reminder of the sweet girl who brought so much happiness into their lives.
Run free, sweet Lily Lou. You will always be loved, always remembered, and forever part of your family’s story. 🐾🤍
