Sweet-Pea Boisvert — lovingly known as momma’s Sweet-Pea — was a gentle, devoted, and deeply loved soul who brought warmth, joy, and purpose into every life she touched.
Born in Camden, South Carolina, and welcomed home on August 4, 2014, Sweet-Pea didn’t just find her family… she chose them. The day Kim went to the shelter to pick up food for a foster, Sweet-Pea made sure she was seen. She followed her, jumped up, held on tight, and refused to let go — as if she already knew exactly where she belonged. From that moment on, she was her momma’s baby, and that bond never wavered.
Sweet-Pea was the heart of a home filled with love — surrounded by her devoted parents Kim and David Boisvert, her human sister Haley, her beloved companions Faith, Polly-Sue, and Gracie, and countless foster siblings who passed through their home over the years. She welcomed them all with a gentle spirit and open heart, leaving a lasting imprint on each one.
She found joy in the simple routines of love — especially her cherished morning ritual of bringing her big dog bone to her momma before heading outside. She adored playing with Faith and Polly-Sue — the three of them inseparable, truly the three amigos. Wherever one went, the others were never far behind.
Her favorite place to be was wherever her momma was — whether snuggled close or resting peacefully in her crate. She loved any food her momma would share, but more than anything, she loved being part of every moment.
Sweet-Pea had a quiet way of making everything feel whole. She was a comfort, a companion, and a steady, loving presence in a home that gave so much love to others through fostering. She didn’t just live in that home — she helped shape it.
Now, her absence is deeply felt. Faith and Polly-Sue still look for her, waiting for her to come running through the door, glancing back as if asking, “Where is she?” And while her physical presence is gone, her spirit remains in every corner, every memory, and every heart she touched.
Sweet-Pea is now reunited with Domino, Love-bug, Hero, Molly, Murphy, Roscoe, Sassy, and all the beloved fosters who crossed before her — a beautiful reunion of souls she once knew and loved.
Though a piece of her momma’s heart is now in Heaven, Sweet-Pea’s love will never fade. It lives on in the lives she touched, the family she chose, and the countless memories that will be held forever.
