Blythewood- Romeo Evans, 14, passed away on August 26, 2022. Born in Hardeeville on September 4, 2007, he became part of the Evans family on December 24, 2007.
Romeo, also known as “Ro Ro,” loved being outside with his dad, Mike, and brother, Aaron, especially when they were grilling (they would let him sample meat off the grill). his favorite food was pupperoni treats and sweet potato and his favorite place to sleep was in his bed near the fireplace.
There are so many memories of Romeo over the past 14 and a half years. If you started to pet him and stopped, he would look back at you with these big eyes that said βwhy did you stop?β. He would also take his front paw and reach at your hands as if to tell you not to stop. He would give high 5s to his dad often. He also loved when the (human) grandparents came to visit. He would stay close in anticipation of getting spoiled.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Mike and Renee Evans; and human sibling, Aaron Evans, with whom he shared a birthday as well as a host of family and friends who came in contact with him over the years and mourn his loss!

Sorry about your loss. Romeo was truly like family. He was so smart. We use to be best friends and chased each other all over the house. Then I had a allergy attack and I think he knew that and sensed I was allergic to dogs. Then he would stay away from me and bark across the room. Still today I wish I knew what he was saying especially since I was the only one he barked at when I came over. Vincent and Romeo bonded and Romeo allow Vincent to rub on him. That was their special moment. We will miss his special bark and him staring at us from across the room. RIP Romeo, we will miss you greatly.
We will miss you Romeo! Rest easy !!! All dogs go to heaven ππΎππΎππΎπΆπΆ

Dear Evans Family,
I’m so sorry to hear about Romeo’s passing; I cannot imagine how difficult it has been for you to lose such a sweet and loving boy that has been with you for nearly 15 years (105 in dog years!). Since working with Renee, I’ve heard countless stories about Romeo and I know he was loved dearly and had an amazing life. What a beautiful way to celebrate the lives you shared together–he will be missed.
