ELGIN- Turdie passed away September 4, 2023. He was born March 12, 2009 in West Columbia.
Turdie, also known as “Turds,” or “Turdie Boy,” loved eating, sleeping, and laying in the grass to sunbathe. When he wasn’t sleeping in his bed by the fireplace or on the ottoman, you could usually find Turdie playing with his comfy blankets.
His favorite food was pulled pork, pepperonis, and baked potatoes.
His dad’s favorite memory is how he always chased after him when it was supper time. He’d tap his little toenails so hard on the floor chasing after him. His mom’s favorite memory is when he was younger he would try to run so fast to keep up with his other dog siblings, but his legs were too short and he would end up howling to the top of his lungs to show his displeasure. A shared memory between both mom and dad was having him with us on our wedding day. He had a blast the weekend of our wedding. He absolutely loved the mountain cabin life.
Left to cherish his memory are his mom and dad, Casey and Whitney O’Kelley; and his dog bother, Duff.

Thank y’all for caring for my sweet boy so well and the willingness to meet us at midnight after a long night at the emergency vet.
