Murphy Baker

Murphy was born October 29, 2010 in Augusta, GA. He passed away January 29, 2024.

Murphy, also known as “Little Dude,” or “Murph,” loved playing with golf balls, laying in his mom and dad’s laps, traveling, and motorcycle rides.

Murphy’s favorite place to nap was on the back of his dad’s neck or somebody’s lap. Murphy’s favorite foods were Chick-fil-a grilled nuggets or vanilla ice cream.

Their favorite memories of him were traveling around the country sharing all the places, motorcycle rides, bike rally’s in FL, NH, and SD. The way he would look into their eyes, and chasing ducks!

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jerry and Missy; two human brothers; three human sisters; fur-siblings, Ricky and Tucker; Dodge and Alex meet him at the Rainbow Bridge.

  1. I miss you so much big boy! My heart is still broken. My days and my nights will never be the same without you. But I cherish our life together and I hold your memory close to my heart. I love you son.

Sometimes the bravest and most loving thing,
Is to say goodbye, let go, and bring
Peace to a soul that’s weary and tired,
A love so deep, yet so required.

Your eyes, once bright, now filled with pain,
    A silent plea, a tear-streaked stain.
To hold you close, yet set you free,
The hardest choice, it had to be.

No more suffering, no more fear,
Just endless fields where you can steer.
Run free, my friend, in open skies,
Where pain dissolves, where sorrow dies.

Your wagging tail, your playful bark,
Now memories that light the dark.
    In every corner, every space,
I see your smile, I feel your grace.

The couch where you would curl up tight,
The bed you warmed through every night.
Now empty, silent, void of cheer,
Yet filled with love, forever near.

Sometimes the bravest thing we do,
Is let you go, say goodbye to you.
To end your pain, to ease your strife,
To honor the joy you brought to life.

In the stillness of the evening air,
I feel your presence, know you’re there.
A gentle breeze, a whisper slight,
A touch of love in the quiet night.

Though my heart aches, though tears may fall,
I remember the love that gave us all.
The laughter, the joy, the times we had,
The bittersweet moments, both happy and sad.

Sometimes the bravest and most loving choice,
Is to listen to that silent voice.
To say goodbye, to let you rest,
To know in my heart, I did my best.

Run free now, friend, beyond the sky,
Where love is eternal, where souls don’t die.
In fields of gold, where pain is naught,
    Forever cherished, forever sought.

  5. He was sooo incredibly lucky to have you to love and care for him so much. We receive so much in return from them and their loss leaves a void in our life. He will always be with you in your heart and his spirit will stay with you forever. With my deepest sympathies
