Jake was gotcha’d on March 7, 2010, but his family always celebrated his birthday on October 16th. He passed away June 6, 2024. He was adopted from Onslow County Animal Shelter in Jacksonville, NC.
Jake, also known as “Jakey Poo,” wasn’t much of a toy lover, but he did enjoy playing with Kong toys at times. However he loved going for rides in the jeep and four wheeler around the property, playing with Buddy or Isabella, laying out in the sun, or rolling in chicken poo! He lived up to his nickname for sure!
Jake’s favorite place to sleep was in mom and dad’s bed, or with his brother, Gavin, in his bed. His favorite foods were cheeseburgers, hotdogs, bacon, and whipped cream.
Their favorite memories of him were spending time outside walking or riding with friends and family, watching him dive-bomb his brother Buddy while playing, and all the snuggles they received from him.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Kayla and Juan; human sibling, Gavin; fur-sibling, Isabella. Buddy, his fur-brother meets him at the Rainbow Bridge.

Jakey was one of the best dogs ever, he and Buddy boy were the dynamic duo, he always had to inch his way to me in front of buddy to make sure he got his lovin first when we’d visit, he and buddy would bomb me the minute I got out of the car 😍all the nights he’d inch into bed and burrow under the covers to sleep! We will miss him dearly, rest in peace with Bud Bud now Jakey Poo, I love you
Love you, Jake! You were the best boy. Have fun in Heaven with Buddy. We’ll see you again someday.
