Changa Copley

Changa was gotcha’d by his family in May, 2012. His family got him from their neighbor. He pass away on July 25, 2024.

Changa, also known as “Chunk,” loved his chirping red bird toy. He also enjoy playing with his bird toy on a string attached to stick, and he LOVED chasing balls through the house. His favorite activity was to cuddle. He showed a lot of love and affection to his family. If he wasn’t cuddling with them then you could find him snuggled up to his pet family.

His favorite place to sleep was on anyone’s lap or anywhere very close to any of his human or inside pet family. He loved them all! His most favorite food to eat was Sheba patè.

Their favorite memories of him are that he was like their therapy cat.   If he ever knew they were upset, he’d jump up on their lap and cuddle.   He’d let them hold him tight and let them cry it out.  He wouldn’t leave their side.  Never would fight to get away.  And if any of them were sick, he wouldn’t leave their side.  It was very comforting knowing he was there.  He also would cuddle with them at night like a teddy bear.  He loved being carried around everywhere.   He also had his favorite blankets he loved to lay on.   And when they had a guinea pig, he loved laying inside the cage with the guinea pig.  The one thing they knew was that he did not like thunderstorms.  He was so scared of them.   Also, he played in his water bowl.   He would put his paw in the water bowl as he was drinking and then splash the water out of the water bowl.  They had to buy a certain water bowl that he couldn’t dump over. They also loved when he would come sit directly on the board when we would play a board game.  He wanted to be center of attention of whatever they were doing.  

He is greatly missed.  Their home will never be the same again.   He wasn’t just a cat, he was a VERY special cat.   They needed him just as much as he needed them.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Chris & Crystal Copley; siblings, Carrie Copley & Caleb Copley; fur-siblings, Lucky (cat), Sophie (cat), Buddy (cat), multiple outdoor cats, and predeceased by Bella (dog).
