Harper was gotcha’d by his family on July 19, 2018. A friend posted him on Facebook after they found him on the street and his family knew then his forever home would be with them. He passed away on February 1, 2025.
Harper, also known as “Harp,” ” Darp,” ” Harper Darp,” and “Harper Cat Pet,” did not typically play with toys. Sometimes he would play with a crinkle ball. His favorite toy as a kitten was a catnip elf toy. His favorite activities were doing things he was not supposed to do, napping, playing with Percy, and sitting in the window.
His favorite place to sleep was on the dryer, the stove, in the window(Particularly the kitchen window) any sunny spot, and under the covers in bed at night. His favorite food was lettuce or any green veggie and gold fish. He would literally eat anything.
Their favorite memories of him were that he was their first ‘baby’, he provided his mom with much companionship over the years when his dad was gone working long shifts at work. He was always getting into something and doing something bad. The house has been “Harper proofed” for years because he would open cabinets and get into food. There were times when he came running when the shower turned on and sat in between the curtains while they showered. If there was ever a sunny spot to be found he was in it, he was always into something but he was the best boy and they will never forget him and miss him forever.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Thomas and Abbey Ray; siblings, Laney (sister, bloodhound/ lab dog) Percy (brother, orange tabby cat), Margaret (human sister).
