Memphis Storrs

Memphis was born on December 5, 2012. He was gotcha’d by his family in February of 2012 at a barber shop for Mama’s Valentine’s Day gift. He passed away on April 15, 2025.

Memphis, also known as “Memphy,” “Memp Memp,” “Memphy Bunny,” “Buddy,” “Bubba,” and “Stinky,” loved to play with his chewy bone, anything crinkly, or anything with a squeaker he could find. His favorite activities were that he loved lounging, napping, and sunning on the back deck. He always just needed a good, soft bed and a fuzzy blanket and he would be happiest, comfiest boy. He loved to visit Grandma’s house and always liked to watch the cars go down the road on their walks. Memphis was infamous for sleeping late with Mama and loved to go on a ride in the car with his head out of the window, his hair blowing in the wind.

His favorite place to sleep were many places. Memphis had a bed in every room of the house and would follow and nap wherever we were. His favorite food was Chimkens, chips, and blueberries.

One of our family’s favorite memories was one year when Memphis decided to have a grand escape on Thanksgiving during family photos. Uncle Jacob was fast and ran after him immediately, Aunt Kristin panicked and chased after him in her tutu dress and heels, and between Dad and uncle Jacob we finally got him safely home. It’s always a great laugh when we talk about it. Memphis loved to go anywhere his people went and he loved to hang out with his furry friends and family: Gypsy, Stevie, and Rhett. He also loved to hang out with family and friends for get togethers at home or on the back porch. Memphis always stayed in bed with mom when she was sick until she was better. He loved to be right beside you, or just where he could see you. He always got the forced lovins’ and we all just know he secretly loved them. Memphis usually started his mornings off by getting up with his Dad who always let him out for a stroll in the yard. He was always ready for his food and would get a little sassy if you didn’t get it to him fast enough. Dad loved the sound of his little nails coming across the floor and Mama loved the sound of his little crunches when he got a good snack. His stinky little kisses were the best part of our days.

Every memory with our sweet Memphy baby will be cherished as we were so lucky to be blessed with 12 years of his unconditional love and companionship. He really was the sweetest, bestest boy in the world.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Hope and Alex Storrs; fur-sibling, Gypsy the Doodle.

  1. This was the best tribute to your little Memphis. You have the best memories of him. Love you both very much sending hugs and God Bless You.

  2. This absolutely the sweetest tribute to my fur-nephew. Sending lots of hugs and love to you both. As hard as it may seem to imagine in your grief, Memphis will send you someone new to love when you are ready and the time is right. ❤️ Please give Gypsy a hug for us.

  3. Memphis, you were a loyal friend, always ready to cuddle me with a wagging tail and a warm heart. Your joy lit up every room, and your memory will stay close forever. Rest easy, sweet pup.

I’ll miss him so much. He was such a beautiful soul, and a friendly, living presence in the Storr’s home. I loved to visit MempMemp, and he and I enjoyed taking naps on the couch while visiting. I pray we’ll all get to see Memphis again one day, and I hope he and Stevie are having a blast together until then —
So sorry for your loss, friends – and that most certainly includes Gypsy…who I know will miss her little buddy tremendously as well. Give her a hug for us.💔
And please call us if you need anything at all.

It’s the little ones that steal your heart. I think it’s the sass from, in my opinion, little man syndrome. Our friend group has been so blessed with the quirkiest fur baby’s. And unfortunately most of us have had to say good bye to those baby’s or will eventually have to say good bye to those baby’s.
It just put simply, sucks. But at the same time, we’re so blessed because we get the rest of our lives to cherish the joy and happiness they brought us knowing one day they’ll be back in our arms.
Sending you both so much love and praying for your broken hearts to be healed. We love you both and gypsy girl so big ♥️🙏🏼
