Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Buddy Atkins was a loyal and affectionate companion whose quiet presence brought comfort and happiness to every moment he shared with his family. He was deeply loved by his devoted parents, Rhonda & David Atkins, and shared a special bond with his brother Stephen Davis, who was his favorite playmate and partner in mischief.
Buddy had a playful personality that shone through in the simplest of things. He loved packing paper, turning it into his own playground, and spent many hours jumping and wiggling onto his scratch scroll, carefully kneading his paws until he found just the right spot to settle in.
When it was time to rest, Buddy could always be found curled up in his favorite place—a shoebox—proving that sometimes the coziest spots come in the smallest packages. His favorite meals included Guardian 8 dry food and Fancy Feast pâté, which he enjoyed with quiet contentment after a day of gentle play and love.
Some of the sweetest memories that will stay with his family forever are watching Buddy and Stephen play together, their laughter and companionship filling the home with joy. And Rhonda will always remember those special late nights when Buddy would gently scratch on her bedroom door, asking her to come sit with him on the couch while he slept—his way of saying, “I just want to be near you.”
Buddy’s love was soft but steadfast, his presence constant and comforting. Though he may no longer be here in body, his spirit will forever fill the home he helped make so full of love.
