Forever Our FatCat, Always Our Family πŸ–€πŸΎ

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kushington Piffington Hollingsworth Hairston III β€” lovingly known as Kush, KittyKitty, FatCat, or Banshee β€” lived a life full of love, laughter, and naps in all the best spots. From the moment he came home to his parents, Nashira Douglas-Hairston and Allen Hairston III, he ruled the household with a perfect blend of sass, sweetness, and royal charm.

Kush was a cat of many hobbies: sleeping, napping, cuddling, eating, asking for β€œuppies,” and playing with his human and fur siblings β€” Aiden, Naya, Adrian, Nola-Mae, Emma, Jazmyn, Autumn, Onyx, Luffy, Chopper, and Nico Robin. He especially loved skibbidy-papping his pet siblings, keeping the household lively and entertained.

His favorite toys were paper balls, catnip fish, and any kind of string β€” simple things that brought endless joy. His favorite places to nap included next to the fridge, in mommy’s lap, or snuggled with his siblings, where he felt most at home. And of course, nothing beat a meal with tuna, his all-time favorite food.

Each member of Kush’s family carries their own special memory:

  • Mommy (Nashira): β€œA few days after I brought him home, he was attacking my feet under the blanket. I put him out with the other cats, and he meowed in a way that sounded like β€˜Mama.’ I was scared and awed all at once.”
  • Daddy (Allen): β€œI’ll never forget when we played catch in the kitchen and how he’d reach up with both arms to be picked up.”
  • Aiden: β€œMy favorite memory is when Kush would try to climb onto my shoulder and scratch me trying to get up.”
  • Naya: β€œI’ll always remember how he’d sleep by my feet.”

Kush wasn’t just a cat β€” he was a family member, a confidant, a comfort, and a companion. His deep purrs and warm cuddles brought calm to every heart in the home. He had a regal air about him, yet was endlessly affectionate and silly.

Though his physical paws will no longer pad softly through the house, his presence will forever echo in every meow, every cozy blanket, and every memory shared.

Rest easy, Sweet Kush.
You filled your home with love, laughter, and warmth β€” a true king in every sense. πŸŒˆπŸΎπŸ’›
