🌈 In Loving Memory of Ollie “Ollie Bell” Mims
August 12, 2015 – November 20, 2025
Cassatt, South Carolina lost one of its sweetest souls when Ollie Mims, lovingly known as Ollie Bell, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. A devoted companion and cherished member of the Mims family, Ollie filled every day with gentle love, comforting presence, and joyful little quirks that made him unforgettable.
Ollie was the beloved fur son of Matt and Jamie Mims and loyal brother to Cayden. From the moment he joined the family, he made it very clear that his heart belonged wherever his mom and dad were. Whether they were walking from room to room, settling in for the night, or simply sitting together, Ollie was always right by their sides; his favorite place to be in the entire world.
Ollie had a personality all his own. He didn’t like noise, not one bit, and he knew every appliance that made even the smallest sound. If you dared to turn one on, he’d bark until you turned it back off. Bedtime was his sacred duty: he insisted on reminding everyone what time it was. He would sit patiently in the hallway waiting for the cue to dash joyfully into the bedroom, eager to claim his snuggling spot beside mom and dad.
And when Ollie wanted up on the bed or couch? He wouldn’t jump.
He would bark, repeatedly, until you picked him up like the little king he was.
Ollie had a knack for locating any sock left unattended. That instantly became his toy of choice, proudly stolen and carried like a prized treasure. He loved car rides, sticking his head out the window to soak up the breeze and all the scents of the world. He adored chips and truly anything mom and dad were eating; he never met a snack he didn’t believe he deserved.
Ollie disliked vet visits and groomer trips, and he made sure everyone knew it. He would pout for hours afterward and give the cold shoulder to whichever parent had betrayed him.
But despite his little dramatics, Ollie had the most tender heart.
He knew when someone was sad or sick, and he would offer quiet comfort laying close, watching over them, sharing warmth and love without needing to be asked. He had a way of making everyone feel protected, seen, and deeply loved.
