đ In Loving Memory of Lexie Grello đ
May 15, 2023 â December 13, 2025
Lexie Grello was no ordinary chickenâshe was a beloved family member, a comforter, and a tiny soul with a giant personality. Born in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Lexie grew up surrounded by love and quickly claimed her place as a treasured part of a wonderfully full household.
She was deeply loved by her human familyâPatricia, Jessica, Jacinda, and Jadeâand shared her life with a lively crew of furry and feathered siblings: dogs Parker and Jasmine, cats Bennett, Twyla, and Stormy, rabbits Dusty and Harley, and her chicken brother Lucinda.
Lexie adored her hanging bell, but her favorite moments were the quiet onesâcuddling under a blanket with her humans, soaking up warmth and affection. Whether snuggled close to her people or settling into her chicken apartment, she always knew exactly where she belonged.
When it came to treats, Lexie had excellent taste. Cinnamon donuts and Sock It To Me cake were among her favorites, and she enjoyed them with the same joy she brought to everything she did.
One of the familyâs most cherished memories was the famous âLexie hop.â As a proud house chicken, Lexie knew the routine wellâwhen it was time to come out of her hutch, all it took was a gentle encouragement, and she would hop right out, delighting everyone who watched.
Lexieâs life may have been short, but it was full of love, warmth, and laughter. She was comfort, joy, and companionship wrapped in feathers. She will always be remembered for her gentle cuddles, her sweet quirks, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family.
Rest easy, sweet Lexie.
You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed. đ
