In Loving Memory of Zvezda Cecere
May 20, 2016 – January 15, 2026
Zvezda Cecere was truly a star—by name, by nature, and by heart. Born on May 20, 2016, in Fincastle, Virginia, Zvezda filled his life with warmth, charm, and unforgettable moments. Known lovingly as Zvezdi and Sweet Thing, he lived up to every affectionate nickname.
Zvezda was deeply cherished by his devoted mom, Susanne Cecere, and shared his life with his beloved siblings Zadira and Spock. He brought joy to his family through his gentle soul, playful spirit, and unmistakable presence.

His favorite things were simple but perfect for him—his plush rabbit, chasing squirrels with enthusiasm, and curling up in the softest bed he could find. Zvezda had an appreciation for all food and never missed a chance to enjoy a good meal.

One of the most treasured memories of Zvezda’s life was his moment in the spotlight as a star in the Columbia Classical Nutcracker Ballet—a beautiful reflection of his graceful and special nature. He truly shined, capturing hearts just as he did every day at home.
Zvezda was love, comfort, and joy wrapped into one remarkable dog. Though he has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, his light continues to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Rest peacefully, sweet Zvezda.
You will forever be remembered, treasured, and loved. ⭐🐾

Dear Susanne,
my deepest condolences for loss of your dear Zvezda … I’m sure he is now running and chasing hares with Zhivoy, boys are having a great time on the immense fields.
One day we all meet on the same field ❤️
Sending you big hug .

Oh my, I am so very sorry for the loss of your bestie friend….never easy, sending healing prayers to you…
The only sad thing about one of your puppies finding the perfect home, is that they won’t be able to stay forever. Susanne gave our little brindle puppy a wonderful life as he grew into a glorious dog. I’m so sorry he couldn’t stay longer. May he run forever in Heaven’s green fields.
Thank you Vickie, he was so beautiful and unique. Spock, Zadira and I miss him so much.
Deepest sympathy for the heartbreaking loss of your beautiful Zvezda. Time with those special ones is never long enough. Lovely memorial.
Susanne my true condolences to you. He was an extraordinary athlete and companion as well. May his live and memory be live in all that he touched.
