In Loving Memory of Macaroni “Mac” Flood
~2009 — April 3, 2026
Macaroni Flood — lovingly known as Mac, Mac Mac, Mackie Wacky, and the Wackis — was a gentle, soulful companion whose quiet presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to her family for many beautiful years.
Though her exact birth date is unknown, Mac lived a long and meaningful life, estimated to be around 16–17 years. She was from Elgin, South Carolina, and was deeply loved by her devoted parents, Shawn and Makenzie, along with her siblings Elcie, Ruby, Doodle Bug, Tiny Dog, Ginger Biscuit, and those who went before her, Piper and Studebaker.

Mac wasn’t one for toys — her personality was much more like Eeyore’s: calm, thoughtful, and quietly content. She found her happiness in the simple things, especially her favorite pastime — napping. Her special place was her peanut-shaped bed tucked away in the closet, where she could rest peacefully in her own cozy little world.
She had a love for pup-peroni treats, and while she may have been low-key in nature, she had her own unique ways of making life special. One of the most unforgettable was her habit of howling at passing sirens — her voice joining in as if she had something important to say.
Mac also held a special place in her family’s traditions — especially during football season. As a loyal companion to a Clemson fan, she became a good luck charm, always right there beside them during the big games, watching along as Clemson brought home national titles. Those moments, side by side, became memories that will be treasured forever.

Mac didn’t need to be loud or playful to be unforgettable — her quiet companionship, her presence, and her love were more than enough. She was steady, comforting, and always there.
Though she is no longer by their side, the love she gave remains woven into every memory, every quiet moment, and every place she once called home.
Rest easy, sweet Mac. Your gentle spirit will always be remembered, and you will forever be loved. 🐾🤍
