Callie Phillips

In Loving Memory of Callie Phillips
August 13, 2012 — March 26, 2026

Callie Phillips — known by many sweet names like Calamari, Doodlebug, Snuggles, and most of all, Sweet Girl — was a one-of-a-kind soul who filled her mom Lana’s life with love, laughter, and just the right amount of mischief.

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Callie made her way into Lana’s heart and quickly became so much more than a pet — she was a constant companion, a little troublemaker, and a deeply loved member of the family. She shared her home with her cat sibling Wilson and her beloved dog brother Bentley, who was there to greet her at the Rainbow Bridge.

Callie wasn’t much for toys, despite all the efforts to convince her otherwise — she preferred the simple (and sometimes mischievous) joys of life. Eating, sleeping, and finding creative ways to get into things she shouldn’t were her specialties. She was incredibly smart — sometimes too smart — always one step ahead and determined to get exactly what she wanted. If Callie had her mind set on something, she would find a way.

Her playful mischief became part of her charm — from chewing up anything she could find, especially used Kleenex and even the corner of a hardback book in her younger days, to keeping life interesting in the most unforgettable ways.

But beneath that spunky personality was the sweetest, most loving heart. Callie loved her mom deeply, especially snuggling close on the bed — her favorite place to be until she could no longer jump up there. And one of the most cherished memories was when she was young, gently resting her head on Lana’s shoulder during hugs — a quiet, beautiful moment of pure love and trust.

She also shared a special bond with Bentley — a love so strong that, as Lana says, she picked the dog, not the human. Their connection was something truly special, and now they are reunited once again.

Callie loved her treats — especially cheese, chicken, and carrots — but more than anything, she loved being part of her mom’s world.

Though her time here has come to an end, the love, laughter, and memories she gave will last forever. Callie was full of personality, full of love, and full of life — a truly unforgettable Sweet Girl.

Run free, precious Callie. You are so deeply loved, and you will be missed more than words can ever express. 🐾🤍
