In Loving Memory of Khione

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Khione on June 17, 2026. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Khione brought nearly a decade of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories to the Fox family.
Khione was the cherished companion of Stacey and Mathew Fox and a devoted sister to Layla, Elizabeth, Taylor, Valkyrie, and Jackson. She had a personality that was impossible not to love. She believed every bone belonged to her, even if it clearly didn’t, and she never missed an opportunity to investigate suspicious sounds. Sirens were her favorite reason to lift her voice and howl for the world to hear.
One of Khione’s favorite places was the Clemson Experimental Forest trails before they closed. She loved splashing and playing in the water, embracing every adventure with enthusiasm. At home, she found simple joys in basking in the sunshine in front of the door and sharing snacks with anyone willing to spare a bite. No matter how big she grew, she remained a giant lap dog at heart, often curling up on Mat’s chest for recliner time.
Baths were never at the top of her favorites list, but she happily tolerated them when there was peanut butter smeared on the wall as a distraction. And perhaps one of the sweetest memories of all was hearing Khione howl “I love you.” Those moments always brought smiles to our faces and filled our hearts with warmth.
Khione was more than a pet—she was family. She was a source of comfort, laughter, protection, and unconditional love. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are forever grateful for every muddy paw print, every howl, every cuddle, and every precious moment we shared.
Run free, sweet Khione. May there always be sunny spots to nap in, endless trails to explore, and plenty of bones to claim as your own. You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished in our hearts.
