Duke Amerson

In Loving Memory of Duke Amerson
July 1, 2015 — June 14, 2026

Duke Amerson, lovingly known as Duker, was a sweet, loyal girl whose greatest joy in life was simply being close to the person she loved most—her mom, Lisa Amerson.

Duke had a gentle spirit and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved basking in the sunshine, stretching out in the warm rays as if she didn’t have a care in the world. No matter what was happening around her, she was happiest when she could be near her mom. Whenever Lisa sat down in her chair, Duke would settle right beside her leg, content just being close.

She had a favorite toy that brought her endless joy—a snake toy with a Santa Claus head. She loved playing with it and treasured it like only a beloved pet can.

When it came to food, chicken was always at the top of Duke’s list. And at the end of the day, her favorite place to sleep was right next to her mom, where she felt safe, loved, and perfectly at home.

One of the family’s most cherished memories was taking Duke to the mountains. She would ride on her mom’s shoulders, happily looking out the window, taking in the sights and enjoying every moment of the adventure. It perfectly captured who Duke was—a loving companion who simply wanted to be wherever her mom was.

For nearly eleven years, Duke filled her family’s life with unconditional love, quiet companionship, and countless precious memories. She had a special way of making ordinary moments feel extraordinary simply by being there.

Though her favorite sunny spot and place beside Mom’s chair now sit empty, the love Duke gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Run free, sweet Duker. May there be endless sunshine, plenty of chicken, and beautiful mountain views waiting for you. Thank you for every cuddle, every adventure, and every moment of unconditional love. You will always be loved and forever missed. 🐾🤍
