In Loving Memory of Daisy Mae Lamb
July 14, 2017 — June 19, 2026
Gotcha Day: September 2, 2017
Daisy Mae Lamb, lovingly known as Miss Daisy and Big Girl, was a beautiful soul whose joyful spirit, unwavering loyalty, and larger-than-life personality made every day brighter for those who loved her.
Born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, Daisy found her forever home with her devoted dad, Matthew Lamb, on September 2, 2017. From that day forward, they were inseparable. Whether she was joining Dad at work, exploring the outdoors, or simply relaxing by his side, Daisy’s happiest moments were always spent with her favorite person. She also shared her life with her sister Leela and cousin Penny, who were blessed to know her loving heart.
Daisy loved toys—but only for as long as they stayed in one piece. She took great pride in tearing them apart, especially her beloved purple squeaky hippo, whose squeak echoed through the house until Daisy decided it had served its purpose.
She lived life with enthusiasm, chasing rabbits across the yard, going on adventures with Dad, and finding the perfect place to nap. She often slept half in and half out of her own bed, claimed Dad’s bed whenever she thought she could get away with it, and on warm summer days, there was nothing better than stretching out on a cool floor.
When it came to food, Daisy believed if someone else was eating it, she deserved a taste too. She especially loved cheese, eggs, hamburger meat, pumpkin, and just about anything that came from Dad’s plate.
Some of the family’s most treasured memories perfectly captured Daisy’s playful personality. They will always smile remembering her racing through the snow, trying to catch and eat snowflakes while running full speed. They will remember seeing her sitting proudly in the backyard, carefully watching over everything as though she had appointed herself neighborhood supervisor.
One memory, however, stands above the rest. Dad had set down a double cheeseburger for just a moment before stepping outside. In that brief time, Daisy quietly unwrapped the entire cheeseburger without tearing up the wrapper, ate every bite, and left the wrapper perfectly clean on the floor. When Dad returned, Daisy was calmly lying on the couch as though absolutely nothing had happened. That day earned her the affectionate nickname “The Hamburglar,” and though they had a serious conversation afterward, it was hard to stay upset with that sweet face.
While Matthew was deployed, Daisy found another best friend in Grandpa. The two became inseparable, spending countless hours together in his shop. Wherever Grandpa went, Daisy was right there beside him, faithfully keeping him company until Dad returned home.
Daisy Mae wasn’t just a dog—she was a best friend, a co-worker, an adventure partner, and a source of unconditional love. Her loyalty, goofy personality, and gentle heart filled her family’s lives with laughter, comfort, and countless unforgettable moments.
Though the house feels quieter without her, her spirit remains in every snowy day, every bunny that dashes through the yard, every cheeseburger that makes someone smile, and every memory shared by those who loved her.
Run free, sweet Daisy Mae Lamb. May there be endless fields to run through, bunnies to chase, squeaky hippos to conquer, and all the cheeseburgers your heart desires. Thank you for every adventure, every laugh, and every moment of unconditional love. You will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. 🐾🤍
