In Loving Memory of Daisy Murff
May 18, 2009 — July 3, 2026
Daisy Murff, lovingly known as DayDay, Daisy May, and Sweetgirl, was a gentle, loving soul whose greatest gift was the unconditional love she gave so freely to everyone around her.
Born in Pageland, South Carolina, Daisy spent more than seventeen wonderful years filling the lives of her family with joy, comfort, and countless treasured memories. She was deeply loved by her mom, Ashley, and by Nanny and Poppy, who played an enormous role in her life and loved and cared for her as if she were their own. She also shared a special bond with her Uncle Danny Boy, her grandparents’ beloved dog.
Daisy never met a stranger. Her sweet heart welcomed everyone she encountered, and anyone lucky enough to meet her quickly fell in love with her gentle spirit. She had a remarkable way of making people feel loved, simply by being herself.
She loved life’s simple pleasures—going for car rides, spending time outdoors, and chasing or playfully barking at her momma and Nanny until everyone was laughing. Whether she was exploring outside or simply enjoying time with her family, Daisy’s happiest moments were always those spent together.

As a younger pup, Daisy loved playing with her blue elephant toy, and although toys became less important with age, food always remained one of her greatest joys. She especially loved chicken and turkey, and if treats were involved, Daisy was always ready.
When it was time to rest, Daisy didn’t care where she slept, as long as she was close to the people she loved. Home was wherever her family was, and being near them was all she ever needed.
Her family will forever cherish the little moments that made Daisy so special. Every day, she faithfully waited at the door for Ashley to come home, greeting her with excitement that never faded, no matter how many years passed. When she wanted to play, Daisy would spin around in happy little circles, making everyone smile. And one of her funniest quirks was her absolute hatred of wearing clothes. If someone dressed her up, she would immediately roll around on the ground, determined to wiggle right out of them.
Daisy’s life was filled with love, and in return, she gave her family a lifetime of loyalty, laughter, and unwavering companionship. She taught everyone around her what unconditional love truly looked like.
Though her favorite spot by the door now stands empty, and the house feels quieter without her, Daisy’s love will never leave the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Run free, sweet DayDay. May there always be sunny car rides, open fields to explore, plenty of chicken and turkey, and the loving arms of those waiting to welcome you home. Thank you for every tail wag, every happy spin, and every moment of unconditional love. You will always be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. 🐾🤍
