In Loving Memory of Cocoa Alston
March 4, 2025 — July 9, 2026
Cocoa Alston, affectionately known as Big Girl, may have only been with her family for a short time, but the love she gave and the memories she created will last a lifetime.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Cocoa was deeply loved by her mom, LaKeysha Alston, and shared her life with Nyla Jackson, GG Jackson, and her faithful companion, Leo. From the moment she came home, Cocoa filled every day with happiness, laughter, and unconditional love.

Cocoa had a playful personality that kept everyone smiling. While most dogs had favorite chew toys, Cocoa preferred Mom’s fingers, turning playtime into sweet moments that her family will never forget. She also loved spending time with Leo, happily playing and enjoying every adventure they shared together.
When it was time to rest, Cocoa’s favorite place was exactly where she felt safest—snuggled in bed with Nyla or curled up beside Mom. Being close to the people she loved was all she ever wanted.
Her favorite treats were beef bites, and she never turned down a chance for a tasty snack.
When asked for a favorite memory, her family simply answered, “The day I picked Cocoa up and every day after.” Those few words perfectly capture the love they shared. Every single day with Cocoa was a gift, and every moment became a treasured memory.
Though her journey was far too short, Cocoa’s sweet spirit and loving heart left an everlasting imprint on everyone who knew her. She reminded her family that love isn’t measured by the number of years we have together, but by the joy we bring into each other’s lives.
Run free, sweet Big Girl. May there be endless fields to play in, beef bites to enjoy, cozy beds to snuggle in, and joyful reunions waiting beyond the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for filling every day with love. You will forever be cherished, deeply missed, and never forgotten. 🐾🤍
