In Loving Memory of Roosevelt Mallory

Roosevelt Mallory, lovingly known as Roosey and Big Boy, was a gentle giant whose calm spirit and sweet nature made him an unforgettable companion to his dad, Michael Mallory. He was the biggest dog Michael ever had, but also the most gentle, with a personality that made him truly one of a kind.
Roosevelt first came into Michael’s life through a military family. While they were away, Roosevelt would spend his summers with Michael, and it didn’t take long for him to make himself at home. He quickly claimed the living room couch as his very own, and when he eventually moved in for good, there was never any question that the couch belonged to Roosey.
He enjoyed the quieter side of life. One of his favorite activities was relaxing on the deck and watching the other dogs chase squirrels. Roosevelt was perfectly content to supervise from his spot, offering an occasional bark as if to cheer them on or remind them that he was still part of the action.
Roosey loved his turkey slices, but perhaps one of his most memorable traits was his powerful tail. Whenever he got excited, that tail would pound against the couch so loudly it sounded like a bass drum, filling the room with a sound that became uniquely his.
Roosevelt’s gentle presence, loyal companionship, and sweet personality brought so much love into Michael’s life. The couch may feel a little emptier now, but the memories of Big Boy stretched out in his favorite spot, happily thumping his tail, will always remain.
